The Batteries and Accumulators (Placing on the Market) (Amendment) Regulations 2012 amend the 2008 Regulations, including giving effect to article 2 of the EU Directive on Batteries and Accumulators (2006/66/EC), which requires capacity labelling of portable secondary (rechargeable) and automotive batteries and accumulators.
