European commission implementing decision 2014/6/EU recognises the HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil) renewable diesel scheme as a means to demonstrate compliance with the sustainability criteria under the Renewable Energy Directive (2009/28/EC) and the amended Fuel Quality Directive (98/70/EC).
