EC Decision 2014/85/EU allows the use of biocidal products containing copper for the control of Legionella bacteria came into force on 13 February 2014

European commission Decision 2014/85/EU allows the use of biocidal products containing copper for the control of Legionella bacteria in water for human use – for example, for showering or bathing – and drinking water. This authorisation is due to remain in force until 31 December 2017.
