The Energy Efficiency (Building Renovation and Reporting) Regulations 2014 require the secretary of state to implement renovation strategies to improve the energy efficiency of UK buildings.
The secretary of state is required to report on progress against strategies annually to the European commission.
National energy efficiency action plans must be prepared and submitted by 30 April 2014 and updated every three years.
