The Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2011 amend the 2010 Regulations. Changes include substituting Schedule 23 to provide a modernised and transparent framework for the regulation of radioactive substances and implementing amendments relating to carbon capture and storage. Most of the provisions came into force on 1 October, except regs. 2, 3, 12 and 14, which came into force on 12 August.
