EP100 members save one billion tons of carbonGlobal business members of the EP100 initiative have saved one billion metric tons of CO2 purely through smart energy efficiency measures, which is three times the UK's annual emissions.The members, which include H&M, Mott MacDonald and RBS, also revealed that they had 360 million metric tons of CO2 avoided over the last 12 months – comparable to taking 77 million cars off the road for a year.“Time and time again, energy efficiency has proven to be the most effective tool we have to quickly cut emissions,“ said Clay Nesler, interim president of the Alliance to Save Energy.
