The NHS sustainable development unit has updated its guidance for health organisations on ethical procurement.
The latest version of the Ethical Procurement for Health Workbook provides guidance for organisations to embed labour standards considerations into procurement and supplier management activities.
The authors said the publication reinforces the importance of ethical procurement for the health sector and can help organisations to address supply chain due diligence, which is expected by the Modern Slavery Act.
The updates incorporate recent legislative changes as well as case studies and examples of best practice.
