EU Regulation 537/2011 on the mechanism for the allocation of quantities of controlled substances allowed for laboratory and analytical uses in the EU under Regulation 1005/2009 (on substances that deplete the ozone layer) was approved on 1 June, but applies from 1 January 2011. As it is a Regulation, 537/2011 applies directly in all member states.
