Impact Assessment Outlook Journal 14: ESG in International Markets
Embedding sustainability principles into business processes is becoming mainstream, but the term ‘sustainability’ is vulnerable to misuse.
Regulation is moving financial sector participants towards transparency, integrity and disclosure – and with this comes the need for capacity and professional practice.
IEMA was therefore delighted to publish Volume 14 of the Outlook Journal in August, to inspire practitioners in the field of environmental, social and governance (ESG). This volume focuses on the evolution, challenges and innovation of ESG in international markets, and has been produced by the Global Environmental and Social Assessment (GESA) Steering Group.
Guest editor Claire Cummins has drawn together six articles, produced by GESA group members, which provide insights into ESG’s background and evolution, key concepts, trends, tools and practices. ESG can seem amorphous, but progress and standardisation are occurring at pace, as well as digital and technological innovation.
