The Landfill Tax (Scotland) Act 2014 came into force on 21 January 2014

The Landfill Tax (Scotland) Act 2014 has received royal assent, paving the way for the introduction in 2015 of a devolved replacement for the existing UK landfill tax system. The replacement tax will be collected by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency from April 2015.
