Plain English guide to the Localism Act
The government has published guidance to help organisation understand the new Localism Act and how it impacts planning
The Department of Communities and Local Government (CLG) has published what it describes as a “plain English” guide to the Localism Act, which received royal assent on 15 November.
The CLG document, which is only available online, summarises each of the main ideas contained in the Act, and explains the overall difference that they will make. It includes a section on the reform of the planning system.
