The Timber and Timber Products (Placing on the Market) Regulations 2013 enforce European Commission Regulation 995/2010, which places obligations on operators who place timber and timber products on the European market, and Regulation 607/2012 on the rules concerning the due diligence system for the timber market, and the frequency and nature of the checks on monitoring organisations.
