February 2019 legislation updates for the UK.

The Waste (Miscellaneous Amendments) (EU Exit) (No. 2) Regulations 2019 (SI 2019 No. 188) make amendments to subordinate legislation in the field of waste, and, in particular, amend legislation in relation to end-of-life vehicles, hazardous waste, controlled waste, waste batteries and accumulators, the management of waste from extractive industries, waste electrical and electronic equipment, and packaging waste. Part 2 of these Regulations updates out of date references. Part 3 of these Regulations is made in exercise of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c. 16) in order to address failures to operate effectively and other deficiencies arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union.
