The Waste (Scotland) Regulations 2011 published 27 March 2011

The Waste (Scotland) Regulations 2011 amend various regulations in order to transpose aspects of the Waste Framework Directive (2008/98/EC), which sets the basic concepts and definitions related to waste management and lays down waste management principles, such as the “polluter pays” principle and the “waste hierarchy”.
