East of Scotland: Time for Nature - World Environment Day

In this session we discussed biodiversity net gain and how a wide-scale conservation project is aiming to reverse the decline in farmland biodiversity in Scotland. This webinar was organised by the East of Scotland Regional Steering Group as an excellent opportunity for members to stay connected with one another and join in the discussion, as well as adding to your CPD record. In this session we discussed biodiversity net gain and how a wide-scale conservation project is aiming to reverse the decline in farmland biodiversity in Scotland. We were joined by Poul Wend Hansen from Balfour Beatty and Fiona Torrance of Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust who provided insight on: - How a transnational conservation project is being implemented and monitored in Scotland. - How biodiversity net gain and planned changes to the national planning framework offer an opportunity to address the climate and biodiversity emergency. This webinar will be of benefit to anyone working in the conservation and built environment sectors as well as environmental management and those who have an interest in biodiversity. *This event is recognised as 1 hour of IEMA CPD
