Impact Assessment Outlook Journal Volume 6: Digital Impact Assessment in Practice

The Impact Assessment Network builds on the launch of its Digital Impact Assessment (IA) Primer with the launch of an Outlook Journal dedicated to example of Digital IA in Practice. The webinar introduces the new Outlook Journal and dedicated Microsite on Digital IA in Practice that has been developed by members of the Impact Assessment Network and discusses key findings and an overview of the case studies. Embracing innovation and digital is one of the four strategic themes for action in IEMA Delivering Proportionate EIA strategy. Following the publication of the Digital Impact Assessment Primer in March, an Outlook Journal and supporting microsite has now been published, giving an overview of examples and best practice of Digital Impact Assessment. In this webinar, the authors of this Outlook Journal provided an overview of their articles and of the new microsite. We also hosted a Q&A session to provide a chance to learn more and share other examples of Digital Impact Assessment. The webinar is aimed at EIA practitioners, reviewers and stakeholders. However, whilst the Outlook Journal expects a basic knowledge of EIA, it is likely to be of interest to wider stakeholders as Digital IA is a key emergent topic of interest. The Journal and accompanying microsite cover a broad range of topics related to Digital IA and has been written by practitioners for practitioners. Speakers included: Rufus Howard (IEMA) Tom Gold (WSP) Sarah Pyatt (Mott MacDonald) Phoebe Cox (Arcadis) Richard Shortridge (Atkins) Lee Wallace (Arup) Ross Stewart (AECOM) Naushad Tahsildar (ERM) Alistair Walker (Quod) Georgina Cutler (Royal HaskoningDHV)
