The event features three speakers
1. Lauren Ridgley (Net Zero Edinburgh, Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce)
o Topic: Overview of the climate emergency and national/local carbon reduction targets.
o Bio: Lauren has been with the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce since 2019, managing sustainability projects like Circular Edinburgh and Edinburgh B Corp 500. She now leads the Net Zero Edinburgh project, supporting SMEs in their transition to net zero by promoting de-carbonisation and circular economy initiatives. She holds an MSc in Carbon Management from the University of Edinburgh.
2. Izi Robe (University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh Climate Change Institute)
o Topic: Presentation on the Climate Springboard programme, a free online resource helping Scottish SMEs prepare for net zero.
o Bio: Izi is a Project Coordinator at the Edinburgh Climate Change Institute with experience in coordinating multi-stakeholder climate projects. She is involved in the Climate Springboard programme, which helps businesses calculate their carbon footprint and develop a net-zero strategy.
3. Eva Rainey (Energy Saving Trust, Business Energy Scotland)
o Topic: Free support available to SMEs from Business Energy Scotland, focusing on helping businesses boost profits while contributing to climate change mitigation.
