Join the IEMA North of Scotland Regional Group for a lunchtime online seminar focused on emissions management and reduction. This event will feature insights from the public sector, the energy industry, and the Scottish salmon industry. Speakers will discuss the drivers and requirements for emissions reporting and reduction, key challenges, involved processes, and shared experiences and lessons learned. This session will be particularly valuable for environmental managers, board members and directors, investors, project planners, and asset managers responsible for managing climate-related risks and financial performance. Emma Young - Senior Climate Change Officer, Aberdeen City Council. Emma Young, the Senior Climate Change Officer at Aberdeen City Council, will present on public sector reporting requirements and share case studies from Aberdeen City Council and the Net Zero Aberdeen initiative. With over 10 years of experience in sustainability and environmental roles across both the public and private sectors, Emma brings a wealth of knowledge to the discussion. Paul Condy, Sustainability Business Partner, Bakkafrost Scotland. Paul Condy will present on Bakkafrost Scotland's experience with greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reporting, a key component of the company's sustainability report. Drawing on his extensive experience in environmental consultancy and sustainability, Paul will share insights into their GHG reporting processes and the challenges and successes they've encountered. Ian Thomas, Ian Thomas will present on quality approach to emissions reduction, ESG reporting and disclosure. The primary focus of the presentation will be emission reduction and reporting and the need for quality assured figures to support the decision making process.
