Caris Graham reveals the next phase of IEMA’s Diverse Sustainability Initiative journey

I'm delighted to announce that the Diverse Sustainability Initiative (DSI) has undergone a rebrand, complete with a new website!

The goal was to create a platform that’s more inclusive and accessible, and that offers greater opportunities to share your stories and showcase volunteers.

The rebrand reflects the journey of the initiative since its launch in March 2021.

Over time, the structure and purpose have grown; the DSI no longer just holds partners accountable but also focuses on educating and connecting. By prioritising collaboration, the DSI strives to make equity, diversity and inclusion a collective mission, not a competition.

With almost 200 members across the DSI partners, the People of Colour and LGBTQIA+ networks, the DSI has developed a strong community, emphasising the exchange of best practices and hosting face-to-face events. The rebrand effectively showcases how far the DSI has come.

The DSI is excited to introduce several new web pages, including sections for case studies, volunteers and events. These pages will be regularly updated with new content, and we’ll also keep you informed through the usual channels.

If you’re interested in becoming a DSI volunteer, please contact [email protected]. If you identify as LGBTQIA+ or a Person of Colour, remember that you are warmly invited to join the existing networks – spaces that serve not only as safe communities but also as hubs of opportunity.

Organisations are encouraged to explore partnership opportunities with the DSI, and if you don’t fall into either category, consider contributing to the conversation by writing a blog for the DSI.
