This course is designed to enhance confidence and understanding in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) in terms of both knowledge of regulatory requirements and effectiveness of good practice delivery. The basic course runs for one-day and covers the key stages of the EIA process. We also regularly adapt, extend and bespoke the course to client and learner needs, for example to align to your:
- Role / Perspective on the EIA process: Consenting Authority (Council, Govt Dpt), Developer, Consultancy, or Statutory Consultee
- EIA Regulation(/s) you work to: Planning permission across all parts of UK, DCO – NSIP EIA, Electricity Works, Marine, etc
- Location: Any part of the UK (Eng, Scot, Wal, NI), plus Republic of Ireland, Gibraltar, Isle of Man, Channel Islands, etc.
- Areas of specialist EIA interest: Significance, Cumulative effects, Proportionate EIA, Rochdale / Design envelope, Transboundary EIA, etc.
Our Founder and Director - Josh Fothergill FIEMA CEnv – has trained well over 500 learners through the scope of this course since 2019, with excellent reviews and improved confidence in the learners’ abilities to deliver their role in EIA practice.
We most frequently deliver commissioned EIA training to an organisation / group of organisations, so if you need effective EIA training that meets your needs do get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you and discussing how we can work with you to deliver the quality EIA training - with a bespoke feel - to your budget.
