IEMA responds to Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) consultation

IEMA responded to the consultation on the mechanics of the proposed Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), making three recommendations on the need to introduce the CBAM as soon as possible, to improve the accuracy of data being submitted and the harmonisation of the scheme with other CBAMs.

IEMA Consultation Response: Future Homes Standard

IEMA responded to the consultation on the Future Homes Standard proposals, and recommended that Option 1 is taken forward, and noted that embodied carbon should have been included in the consultation. The response also expressed disappointment that more ambitious proposals were not put forward in the consultation, given that alternatives exist which are financially viable and better for the environment.
