How To: Submit a Winning Bid

This session was aimed at those with little or no knowledge of preparing and submitting tenders and drawing on practical bidding experience from real-life situations, Simon Hubbard went through tips and tricks which can help you to prepare and assemble compelling bids.

Sometimes it really is the simple stuff that makes a big difference and the session included an introduction to:

  • Capturing and understanding clients’ needs in advance
  • Building a plan of attack around the rules of the game
  • Planning responses before we write to maximum scores
  • Responding with clear, concise and attention-grabbing text
  • Using effective graphics to support our communication
  • Taking the pain out of the review process (well, some of it!)
