It is not just one's wallet that stands to gain from the electric-gas cars. In fact, the Sierra Club says the environment is the real winner.
Hybrid cars are a proactive, practical way to improve air quality because they have reduced tailpipe emissions and they also save money at the pump, said Christa Wagner of the Sierra Club.
Wagner says it is even more important for people in the Charlotte area to care because the air quality is poor.
