To mark the recent release of the Conservative Party's Quality of Life Policy Review, Ipsos-Mori have today released the results of new survey work. Key findings include: Eco-taxation and the "Polluter Pays" is backed in principle; Major ideas from the Quality of Life Policy Review find public support - backing for green homes, taxing "gas guzzlers" and moratorium on airport expansion; the public is evenly split on VAT on short haul flights, but parking charges at out of town shopping centres are considered a step too far.
