The UK Government recently published a new water strategy for England, 'Future Water'. The strategy sets out the Government's long-term vision for water and the framework for water management in England. The Strategy's proposals include an aim to reduce water usage to 120 litres per person per day by 2030 (from the current level of roughly 150 litres per person per day); an independent review into water charging; and new proposals to tackle surface water drainage and water pollution.
