'Community Resilience to Extreme Weather' (CREW) is a newly-launched initiative aimed at gaining a better understanding of the effects of extreme weather events and developing a set of tools for improving the resilience of local communities. CREW is funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) to bring together scientists from engineering, social and physical sciences to determine likely future extreme weather events and to develop a set of useful web-based mapping and information tools.
