Building a Low Carbon Economy – Unlocking Innovation and Skills

This report outlines how UK Government and business may work together to place the UK at the forefront of the green industrial revolution.

It identifies four key prerequisites for building a low carbon economy: a clear consistent long-term policy framework to provide business with the confidence to invest and to enable the timely development of innovative products and services; policies that create the conditions that allow innovation to flourish; developing the right skills by drawing on the talent and creativity of the British people; and fostering true partnerships between Government business trade unions higher education bodies and others.

This report arrives before next month's low carbon economy summit which will seek to explore further actions to be taken by both government and business.
