This workshop was an event for practitioners who are active in this field and/or whose organisations are factoring climatic change into their future planning and risk management.
Through these workshops members;
- Learned about and discussed recent findings on Climate Change Adaptation, including the Defra MORI poll survey of private, public and third sector organisations (August 2010)
- Discussed with other professionals how adaptation was best addressed by organisations is it a risk management activity? What is the role of the environment and sustainability professional?
- Shared your experience with colleagues in the use of guidance and tools on Climate Change Adaptation what worked well? What are the challenges? What's missing or would help?
- Helped to inform IEMA's Climate Change programme (and others) in terms of direct practitioner experience and the primary needs and requirements for Climate Change Adaptation and future support programmes
Outcomes from these workshops will help to inform our developing programme of activity on Climate Change.
