The Guardian Sustainable Business Awards, supported by IEMA, aim to showcase genuine innovation in corporate sustainability. The award categories include;
- Communicating sustainability
- Engaging employees
- Social impact
- Biodiversity
- Supply chain
- Carbon
- Waste & recycling
- Water
- Energy
- ICT
- Built environment
Winners will feature in a special supplement published on guardian.co.uk and the team judged to have the best overall initiative will be invited to attend a 'winner's day' at the Guardian.
Jan Chmiel, CEO of IEMA, is one of the award's judges so members are encouraged to enter in order to demonstrate the knowledge, experience and skills present within our membership of 15,000 environmental professionals.
All entries meeting the awards criteria will be added to the new Guardian Sustainable Business best practice exchange - an online database allowing sustainability professionals to share their learning and drive progress for all organisations.
The entry deadline is now just over one week away so if you are thinking of entering, be sure to work on your submission very soon before the 7th February 2011 deadline.
For more information and to enter visit the Awards website.
