The Scottish Green Awards were presented in a ceremony on the evening of Thursday 29th September, with IEMA representatives from around the Scottish regions present in the audience.
The event, held at the Glasgow Science Centre, celebrated the achievements and initiatives of both corporate and individuals in reducing carbon emissions.
The judges, including IEMA's Executive Director - Policy Martin Baxter, presented the awards to the winners of the following categories:
Best Green Campaigner/Activist - Jamie Peters
Best Green Community Initiative - North Howe Transition Toun
Best Green Large Company - First Scotland East Ltd
Best Green PR Campaign - Project Oskar
Best Green Public Service or Public Sector Provision - Changeworks
Best Green School (Joint Winners) - Clachan PS and Craighead PS
Best Green SME - EAE Ltd
Outstanding Contribution to the Scottish Environment - The European Marine Energy Centre Ltd
As a Supporting Partner, IEMA was able to invite members of the three Scottish Steering Groups to attend the ceremony to represent IEMA.
