Over 100 New Professional Members This Year

Recent IEMA figures show that there are now over 100 more Professional associate full and fellow members active within the IEMA membership than there were this time last year.

At the end of August 2010 the number of Professional Members (Associates and above) was 9980. As of the same date in 2011 that number had increased by 104 to 10084.

The number of [page:cenv] s achieving their status through IEMA has also risen from 567 to 606; an increase of 6%!

IEMA membership recruitment is generally 8% higher than in 2010 which is not only tremendously encouraging in these economically tough times it is indicative of the growth and increasing recognition of the environmental profession its role in business and the value of employing environmental practitioners. The movement in members from the ambitious and interested levels of [page:student] [page:graduate] and [page:affiliate] towards the Professional rungs also demonstrates the development of individuals' knowledge skills and experience using IEMA support and progress opportunities.
