In response to the news from the World Meteorological Organisation that summer 2023 in the Northern Hemisphere was the hottest on record, Sarah Mukherjee MBE, CEO at IEMA, said:
“This record-breaking heat is a reminder to us all that we need to prepare for a dramatically changing world.
“The government must work with industry and educators to prepare workers with the green skills and jobs needed to adapt to the climate emergency.”
