
IEMA is joining forces with Content With Purpose (CWP) to create an inspiring digital series exploring the drive to build a greener workforce across the UK economy.
With economic growth a top priority for the new UK government, IEMA is urging both the public and private sectors to focus on enhancing green skills across the UK workforce to accelerate productivity and foster sustainable growth.

Green Horizons: A Workforce Fit for Tomorrow will explore the dynamic world of green jobs, illuminating the diverse opportunities for organisations and individuals to contribute to the green economy. The series will define green skills and emphasise their critical importance across every sector and every business function.
Through captivating stories from organisations across various sectors, the series will demonstrate green workforce transformation in action. It will showcase green jobs available to employees, skills being developed, and underscore the importance of a just transition for workers moving from fossil fuel to green sector roles. Viewers will gain insight into the day-to-day roles of individuals at different career levels who are embracing green skills.
Expert contributors will share practical advice and insights, guiding organisations and individuals on how to leverage green jobs and skills to make a meaningful contribution to the economy and society.
Following the series launch in April 2025, this compelling blend of short films and interviews will be available indefinitely on the Green Careers Hub, a government-backed platform launched in 2023. The Hub serves as a comprehansive resource for organisations and individuals seeking information on green skills, green jobs and career pathways.
The series will be promoted through a comprehensive digital marketing and communications campaign, leveraging IEMA’s influential presence on LinkedIn, X, Facebook and YouTube. The campaign will deliver tailored content to targeted audiences including IEMA members, industry leaders, educators, young people, and the general public, ensuring widespread engagement and impact.

This series represents the next exciting chapter in IEMA's partnership with CWP, building on the successful roll-out of the Green Careers Hub in 2023, the launch of Transforming the World to Sustainability in March 2024, and ongoing activity to support IEMA’s campaign to include green education, jobs and skills in COP commitments.
