About Jenny

I am a Senior Associate Director at Jacobs specialising in Health Impact Assessment and Environmental Impact Assessment. I have worked for over twenty years in the environmental consultancy sector, working on various types of projects including energy, transport, flood risk management, and urban development. I am particularly interested the relationship between environment and society and how we can develop a built environment that helps to improve health. Sustainable development depends on us meeting the needs of the current without compromising the needs of future generations. We cannot do this unless we find ways to better protect and enhance the natural environment which underpins the ecosystems and planetary health on which we depend. I am interested in working with people across various sectors to help develop practical solutions to the various challenges we face. In my spare time, I enjoy hillwalking, running, cycling, kickboxing, art, and reading. You will often find me stomping the South Wales hills with my whippet!

About Sarah

I have recently become a mum and it's made me even more aware of the impact we have on the environment, both locally and further afield. I have a lot of experience in energy and environmental auditing and environmental legal compliance as I am an Environmental Engineer - currently at a semiconductor factory but I've also worked in the medical devices field. I've been an active member of the Wales IEMA group since I moved to Cardiff from Plymouth about 5 years ago, and I'm one of those rare, strange people who actually enjoys public speaking!
