About Kate

Kate Turner has been co-chair of IEMA South West Steering Group since September 2020, and enjoys helping to arrange varied, informative and interesting events for the areas members. She is an experienced professional, currently managing ESG reporting for FTSE100 company.

About Steph

I am a passionate Environment and Sustainability professional with over fourteen years’ experience in environmental management including working within the waste and water industry sectors. I currently work as an Environmental Scientist for Turnbull and my role involves championing environmental leadership at Europe’s largest construction site. I am currently leading on the creation of the business sustainability strategy aligned to the UN SDGs. I am a practitioner member of IEMA, Co-Chair for IEMA South West and a Chartered Waste Manager with CIWM and member of the Circular Economy Club. I studied Environmental Consultancy (MSc) and Environmental Science (BSc Hons) at Plymouth University. I especially loved the university field trip to the Rainforest in Malaysia studying trapdoor spiders! My hobbies and interests include going for walks, getting outdoors to connect with nature, gardening including growing my own fruit and vegetables, organising beach cleans, creating environmental artwork inspired by artist John Dahlsen and much more!

About Bryony

Bryony is a chartered and full member with over 15 years experience in Environmental Impact Assessment, stakeholder engagement and environmental management. She has worked on a variety of projects from design and build to Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects such as Wylfa Newydd. Bryony’s involvement across the EIA lifecycle has cemented her appreciation of the importance of relationship management, empowering those on her projects to take ownership and pride in their contributions to making environment central to development, and in shaping outputs that support this ambition. Bryony also acts as secretary to IEMA South West Steering Group.

About Greg

Greg is an experienced and knowledgeable leader with a record of success supporting organisation develop and deliver strategies for managing environmental legislative compliance and sustainability. Greg is an experienced project manager at SLR Consulting Limited with over 8 years in the industry. He is highly experienced in the: • Development of strategies and project management of teams; • Stakeholder liaison stakeholders; • Identification of applicable environmental laws, auditing of compliance and development of improvement programmes. • Development of environmental management systems including gap analysis, identification of risks and opportunities, context reviews, interested parties assessment, leadership training.

About Sheri

I have volunteered to be the marketing / social media platform personnel for IEMA South West group. I am also a full-time senior socio-economic consultant at WSP. I am experienced in the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process, project management and specialised in undertaking Socio-economic, Population and Human Health (P&H) assessment and Equality Impact Assessment (EqIA) for highways, residential-led, and renewable energy projects for both private and public sector clients. I love visiting different eco-friendly sites or attractions outside of work. The underground air raid bunker zero-carbon farm in London; Zero-Carbon Park in Hong Kong; and Eden Project in Cornwall are by far the top three places I would recommend to my friends.

About Thomas

I am a Project Manager for Natural England living in Cornwall, I manage several high priority projects for the national team. I previously worked as an Environmental Advisor in Cornwall for a diverse group of businesses. I have been a keen environmentalist for as long as I can remember and enjoy getting involved with my regional team to hear from like-minded people about the great work they are doing.

I am actively seeking opportunities to kickstart my career in the Sustainability and Environmental Sector.

About Stuart

Stuart is a Chartered Environmentalist and Full Member of IEMA. He is the environmental management lead for Corserv - a diverse group of local authority-owned businesses that provides infrastructure, transport, housing, and other essential services to Cornwall and the South West. Working across a wide variety of environmental topics and operational activities, Stuart oversees strategic direction, compliance, and performance improvement, driving organisational change towards a net zero and sustainable future.

Ben Goodare is a knowledgeable, experienced, pragmatic and trusted sustainability leader of a world renowned FTSE250 company. He has an excellent ability to remain strategic whilst ensuring the details are effectively managed and controlled. He is a recognised leader in the field of sustainability, his expertise particularly lie in carbon accounting, net zero, responsible sourcing, stakeholder engagement and diversity and inclusion.

About Melanie

Melanie Reid is a full member of IEMA and a Chartered Environmentalist. As a committee member of IEMA's Regional Steering Group in the South West she is keen to connect with like-minded professionals across the region. Working in consultancy, for Mott MacDonald Ltd, Melanie leads the team of Environmental & Sustainability Services professionals. She is motivated to influence the sustainability of the world around us by delivering sustainable solutions and outcomes for our clients.

About Alistair

I am a chartered environmentalist with almost 25 years experience working across the sector providing environmental, economic and sustainability advice. I am a director of Kovia Consulting Ltd. which is based in southwest and works across UK on a wide range of projects for public and private sector clients.

About Adam

I'm a Chartered Environmentalist and full IEMA member. I have been involved with environmental activities since a young age and established by environmental career post. Environmental Management degree by wrking for the Wilshire Wildlife Trust. I'm now the Sustainability and transformation director for a large SW based housing association.
