About Duncan

Dr Duncan East is Head of Sustainability for Marwell Wildlife, a conservation charity dedicated to the conservation of biodiversity and other natural resources. Marwell has active conservation programmes in Tunisa, Kenya, Zimbabwe, China and Polynesia and as well as operating Marwell Zoo in Hampshire, UK which welcomes over 500,000 visitors. He has 25 years experience in environmental management and consultancy including ISO12001, low carbon technologies and renewable energy projects, water saving, sustainable and ethical purchasing and delivering training and seminars.

About Elizabeth

Liz is an environmental professional with over 15 years' experience. As the Environmental Officer at Solent University, she is responsible for the University's Environmental Management System and co-ordinating carbon reduction, waste, recycling, biodiversity, active travel, and student and staff behaviour change initiatives. Liz was previously Environment Officer at the University of Winchester and prior to that, worked as Restoration Adviser for the RSPB's Nature After Minerals programme - a national role advising mineral operators and planning authorities on the creation of species-rich habitats in active and worked quarries. She began her career in waste and mineral planning consultancy. Liz holds a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Plymouth.

About Joseph

I am an environmentally conscious individual willing to consistency go ‘the extra mile’ to ensure the project, training course, information giving is of the highest possible standard to my skill level. Environmental protection, and sustainability have always been at the core of my beliefs that has helped me grow a passion into a career. The ability to pass on knowledge to others is something I am particularly keen on doing, as the more the knowledge can be spread, the better chance we have for saving our planet. Previous experience includes focusing on sustainable waste, and contaminated land. I truly believe that we all have the potential to do better, and I am here to help facilitate humanities transaction to a carbon free future.

About Sarah

I have been studying for an MSc in Environmental Management with OU completing 2 modules (Distinction & Merit). I am now applying to do MSc Green Economy full time at Bournemouth University in 2023. I have completed ISO Requirements and Implementation certification in Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and will be undertaking a 1 week's ISO Lead Auditor in EMS at the end of March 2022. I currently work at BCP (Bournemouth Christchurc Poole) Council and have completed a secondment into the Climate Action Team after the Council declared a Climate Emergency.
