This session will be looks at how organisations monitor and measure their environmental impacts. The session will include two presentations – the first looking at some of the most common approaches taken to monitoring impacts and offering guidance on some of the key issues to consider. The second presentation is a case study from Bristol City Council, winner of a 2012 EMAS Award, looking at the work done to improve water quality including the monitoring work needed to support this.

A day in the Life of a Full member working in Environmental Auditing
In the last episode of the third season of a day in the Life miniseries we digitally shadowed Alexis Massey a full member of IEMA who’s career path took him from working in environmental auditing to work for the Environment Agency as a Sustainable Business Manager, managing a team of Sustainability professionals.
The third season of a day in the Life miniseries is about Environmental Auditing. On our second episode of this season we digitally shadowed a practitioner member Alasdair Dalzel-Job who works as an Environmental business advisor conducting energy audits on SMEs across the UK.
The third season of our 'Day in the Life miniseries is based around Environmental Auditing and in this first episode, we digitally shadowed two graduate members that work within this area.
In this special episode in our Day in the Life series we virtually shadowed three IEMA Student members who shared insights on IEMA membership and gave tips on those looking at a career in environment and sustainability.
This session ran through how to construct a marketing plan – for any type of business, big or small. It will highlight common pitfalls, and give confidence to those wanting to get into marketing, starting their marketing careers, or serve as a refresher.
IEMA Futures held an interactive panel event, designed for IEMA members in their early careers or career changers who are looking to upgrade to a Practitioner.

Our event welcomed Virginia Cinquemani from 'SustainABLE' who shared necessary techniques to gear up for success with the right mindset shift and fundamental skills of a successful sustainability professional.
