Background - In June 2012 Government announced that GHG reporting would become mandatory for UK quoted companies (c1,100), and potentially broadened to all large companies by 2016
- Draft GHG regulations were announced on 25 July- consultation closed 17 October 2012
- Regulations are expected to be laid before Parliament in May 2013
- Regulations due to come into effect as legal requirement in 2013
