Calculating homeworking emissions

In this webinar, EcoAct took us through the fundamentals of the methodology of calculating homeworking emissions, explaining why it is so important to address, and share their experience of the methodology in practice. In April 2020 an estimated 47% of UK employees – 14 million people – were reported to be working at home and many continue to do so as the country remains in lockdown. It is vital then that organisations are accounting for the shifting boundaries of their operational emissions. To help account for homeworking, EcoAct have launched an open-source methodology for calculating homeworking emissions, in partnership with Lloyds Banking Group and NatWest Group. We were also joined by Jason Light from Eastleigh Borough Council, sharing experience from a public sector perspective concerning shifting employee patterns and carbon emissions. Speakers included: - Lindsay Ventress, EcoAct - Luke Skillett, EcoAct - Jason Light, Eastleigh Borough Council - Nick Blyth, IEMA
